Services
Small Claims
Type: Breach of contract, general debt, return of deposit, substandard construction, unpaid wages
Features: This is a lawsuit where the amount an individual wishes to sue for is $12,500 or less, and it is a fast-paced lawsuit where the trial takes place within 1 to 2 months from the date the complaint is filed.
Civil Litigation
-
Types: Breach of contract, general debt, real estate ownership dispute, seizure and execution, bodily injury claim, property damage claim, name change, restraining order (against non-family members)
-
Features: This is a lawsuit that resolves disputes between individuals (or legal entities), where the logical organization of legal documents and the systematic nature of the evidence list have a decisive impact on the outcome.
Unlawful Detainer
-
Type: Illegal occupancy lawsuit, forced eviction
-
Features: Since eviction lawsuits are closely related to the right to housing, the court proceeds very quickly (usually within 1 to 2 months). As the procedure is very strict, advance notice, such as the 3-Day Notice, must be accurate, and if even a single document is incorrect, the lawsuit itself may be dismissed.
Family Law (Divorce)
Types: Divorce by mutual agreement, summary divorce, divorce lawsuit
Features: In all divorce processes, whether by settlement or litigation, child support, spousal support, and property division are agreed upon or determined by judgment. All types of divorce in California require a legal cooling-off period of six months before a final judgment is rendered.
Immigration Document Services
-
Type: Permanent Residency (Green Card) application, citizenship application
-
Features: While submitting immigration documents is not a trial process, it requires the preparation of accurate and persuasive evidence to support the application.
